Our plans
1. Support Open Infrastructure
We’re working to secure funding for the foundations of independent tech, to power open, adaptable social media platforms, run by many companies, communities and initiatives.
2. Protect Against Future Capture
We’re building nonprofit governance to make sure this new ecosystem stays accountable firstly to the public, rather than platforms or shareholders.
3. Make Room for Real Choice
Open systems enable many apps and experiences, not just one feed controlled by a corporate algorithm. Our vision is for an ecosystem that offers people more control over their information and communications choices, and supports a diversity of viewpoints.
